With more than 45 years of professional, boots-on-the-ground experience in the residential construction and home improvement industry, I have dedicated my career to providing Connecticut homeowners with premium craftsmanship and honest service.
Unlike standard contracting companies where the owners remain hidden behind a desk, I personally manage every single project from inception to completion. I am directly involved in your initial consultation, material selection, onsite installation supervision, and the final post-project walkthrough inspection to guarantee your 100% satisfaction.
The Process
On a typical Tuesday, I manage and supervise a roof replacement in the local area here in Connecticut. Upon arrival at the jobsite, all materials we need for the project are delivered by my distributor. Each is verified to be the correct materials ordered – undamaged, correct shingle color, and the right quantity required for the job. Dumpster size and position is also verified before we start.
The mid-day inspection consists of reviewing the progress of the installation, an installer safety check, proper hydration, and completion time. I then review the grounds for undetected small debris or nails. Next, I communicate to the ground crew that any and all additional cleaning that’s required has been conducted prior to completion of the project. Lastly, we check the dumpster prior to contacting the dumpster company to schedule a removal date, which is typically the next day after the project is finished.

A Note on Connecticut Weather & Proper Techniques
Connecticut winters bring heavy snow and ice dams, while summers are highly humid. One of the most common installation mistakes other contractors make in Connecticut’s climate that can cause roofs or skylights to fail prematurely is the utilization of synthetic ice and water membrane past the first 3ft-6ft of the edge of the eave.
Applying fully adhered ice and water membrane throughout the entire roof deck will eliminate ice dams.
I recently conducted a roof replacement from this past winter’s heavy snow and ice build up, which was causing significant interior damage. The root cause was that the original roof underlayment was roof felt, which doesn’t provide long term roof moisture protection.
