Joe comes out personally to understand the engagement and scope the project. He will interview you and based on the feedback, outline a few options. The initial scope and estimate was comprehensive. He and team were also able to make adjustments during the project to accommodate changes and new requests. We lucked out on weather, and the project was complete inside of 2 weeks (ahead of schedule). The final walkthrough yielded some punch list items that needed to be cleaned up. They were addressed on the same day. Professional shop. Quality work. Very good customer service. Would definitely use Amity again.

I hired another contractor to replace flashing around three leaking windows along one wall but they created more damage than they repaired. Joe and his crew really helped out by taking over and then correcting their work. No more leaks. Additionally, they took great care when completing significant sheetrock repairs and interior painting. Joe/Amity responds and shows up on time, is on site, and clearly communicates. I have used this business for two jobs over the last few years and his crew does excellent work without drama. When using Amity, I'm confident the work will be completed correctly. Of all the companies I interviewed for the job, he was the only owner who guaranteed he would personally be on site to oversee the job. As a first time homeowner he was extremely helpful taking the time to walk me through the entire roof replacement process, and always being responsive and communicative to my many questions. Joe installed several replacement skylights in our home a few years ago so when I saw some staining around one of them, I gave him a call. He came out quickly and was able to identify that it wasn't an issue with the skylight, but in our attic space. He brought out an insulation specialist and they both identified the problem and offered wonderful solutions to the issue. To start, Amity offers a free estimate appointment to assess and determine your interior or exterior painting inquiry. In addition, we visually inspect the condition of your roof, gutters, siding, fascia, soffit, and trim since they all are affiliated with the painting process and/or water management that may negatively effect the new paint job. We will discuss pricing with you at this stage of the project.

2. Project Scheduling

At Amity, we understand that our customers have busy work schedules and that their time is valuable, therefore we accommodate them accordingly.

We agree on an initial start date with an approximate finish date to include possible inclement weather conditions of which painting isn’t conducted.

3. Preparation Work

Proper and thorough preparation is highly essential to ensure a flawless high quality finish and long lasting paint job. 4. Exterior Paint Considerations

Choosing lighter toned colors instead of dark colors are often a good choice because they don’t absorb as much heat. Dark colors can also affect the temperature inside your home. According to the Department of Energy, dark, dull colors can absorb 70–90% of the sun’s radiant energy, which can then be transferred into your home.

5. Weather Considerations
